That’s not to say that we don’t have Fate fans internally though! Our team put in a lot of effort and care over the course of the development process. The dark and moody area of Druantia in particular was something that we spent a lot of time on.
We consider FATE: Reawakened to be a remaster since we are revamping the old graphics and UI as opposed to rebuilding the game from scratch. Remakes also sometimes take new creative FATE Reawakened liberties, add new features, or rework certain aspects of the game completely.
Only time and obsessive clicking will tell whether the changes are for the better, but none seem especially dramatic. This is a remaster, rather than a remake or overhaul.
While PAX West gave us a nice broad mix of players both new and old, we knew we needed to please hardcore fans if we had any chance of getting this remaster to land properly.
